You will meet in Paris and get on a charter flight to Svalbard, to one of the northernmost settlements in the world — Longyearbyen. Upon arrival, you’ll board the luxurious Le Commandant-Charcot ship with an indoor pool and spa area, two restaurants, a panoramic bar, and a library. Throughout the entire trip you will be surrounded with comfort and care.
Today you’ll explore the coast of Svalbard on the Zodiac boats. You’ll land on the most picturesque places of the coast to enjoy views of the endless arctic tundra, fjords, and giant glaciers. You’ll be able to take many amazing wildlife photos and even see polar bears in the middle of the Arctic wilderness.
The few following days you’ll spend on board the ship, moving further and further north. The transition time is highly dependent on the ice conditions and can take up to 8 days. On the way, you’ll be able to enjoy amazing landscapes of the Arctic — vast sea expanses, giant heaps of ice, and single icebergs floating in the water.
Today you’ll continue your journey to the top of the world — the North Pole. Le Commandant-Charcot icebreaker has everything you need to keep you entertained. You can visit the gym or get a massage, spend time in the pool surrounded by a winter garden or participate in events organized by the team.
You are getting closer — if the weather does not interfere with your plans, then in a couple of days the icebreaker will reach the destination.
You are approaching the North Pole — one of the most inaccessible points on Earth, where the Arctic Ocean is almost constantly covered with a thick layer of centuries-old ice.
The final push — through the cold Arctic waters and snow-white icebergs, the ship approaches the top of the planet, while you are enjoying a relaxing massage and a hot sauna.
Finally, you are at the northernmost point of the Earth! Very few people manage to visit such remote corners of our planet. In summer, the sun does not set below the horizon at all, and you will spend the whole day enjoying the majestic sceneries of the Arctic. The weather in summer here is quite nice for outdoor activities — it is often sunny, and the temperature rises to +5 °C. You will have time to take plenty of pictures and cruise on maneuverable Zodiacs around the lagoons.
For an extra fee you will also be able to dive into the icy waters with scuba gear (should be booked in advance) or fly over the expanses of the Arctic Ocean in a hot air balloon.
You have reached the main goal of your expedition, and the ship is heading to Greenland, but there are still many impressions ahead. The team will brighten up your long journey through the harsh Arctic expanses with interesting lectures about the nature of this remote corner of the Earth.
You will spend the next few days on board as the luxury ship takes you to Greenland. The whole range of entertainment is at your disposal: bars and restaurants, lounge areas, a swimming pool, a gym, a beauty salon, a library — you definitely won’t be bored!
This long transition through the Arctic Ocean is a great opportunity to share your photos and impressions from the journey with each other.
Today the luxury ship will arrive in Greenland. You will continue to enjoy the Arctic views: the endless expanse of water and snow-white ice floes sparkling in the sun. By the way, ice in Greenland is older and thicker than anywhere else in the world and it appeared more than 2 million years ago.
The ship will continue its journey along the coast of Greenland. On this day you will pass along the eastern part of Scoresby Bay. This is the longest fjord on the planet, named after its explorer William Scoresby. You will certainly appreciate the beauty of the Arctic landscapes: mighty glaciers and slowly drifting icebergs, shimmering with all the colors of blue.
Today you are arriving at the shores of the Ittoqqortoormiit region, a remote settlement with a population of 500 people. You will admire the fantastic views of the Scoresby Sound fjords and see the colorful houses on the coast.
The ship is moving further and further south through the endless expanses of the ocean. You can spend this day relaxing on board, visiting lounge areas, swimming pools or listening to interesting lectures.
Today the ship will cross the Denmark Strait between Greenland and Iceland. You will admire the cold beauty of the coastline with fjords and the white islands of glaciers. There is the largest undersea waterfall in the world on the western side of the Denmark Strait.
In the morning after breakfast, the ship will land at the port of Reykjavik. After breakfast you will disembark from the ship and have free time in Reykjavik. You can visit the old city center, Hallgrimskirkja church, Reykjanes Peninsula and thermal pools of the Blue Lagoon.
The journey begins in Paris, where you need to get on your own. The meeting of the group takes place on the first day of the tour at the Paris airport, then you’ll get on a charter flight to Longyearbyen (ticket is included in the price). We’ll send the details to you later.

The expedition will take place on board luxury Le Commandant-Charcot icebreaking ship.
Le Commandant-Charcot is equipped with a hybrid engine that combines the use of liquefied natural gas and electric generators, which minimizes the impact of tourist cruises on the nature of remote regions.
The design work of the vessel was carried out by two world-renowned architectural companies — the studios of Jean-Philippe Nuel and Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Here, a modern approach is combined with a desire to create a warm and sophisticated environment. Natural materials (stone, wood and leather) used in the interior echo the wildlife overboard.
With 135 cabins, including 31 suites with panoramic balconies, Le Commandant-Charcot invites you to experience a cozy and sophisticated atmosphere. You’ll enjoy the exquisite cuisine of two restaurants, swimming in the indoor pool surrounded by a winter garden or relaxing in the spa area with a sauna.
Like on a private yacht, every guest will feel special here.
