When, a month later, you are still thinking about the journey, reading books and watching films, becoming more and more immersed in the history of the country, you know that the trip was truly something special! And this is all thanks to our super-guide Anatoly. A person with incredible knowledge and a special attentiveness to people.
I especially remember the walking tour of Karakol with him (outside the programme) and the excursion to the Przhevalsky Museum. I would also like to give special thanks to our driver Vasily for keeping us safe. Anyone who has crossed mountain passes along those winding roads will understand). I highly recommend this diverse and beautiful tour to everyone! You could talk about it endlessly. 11 days of a little life in a mountain country...

I honestly have no idea how I managed to do it. When I set off, I wasn't even sure I would make it. An altitude of 5,000+ metres seemed like something along the lines of "that's definitely not for me". A special thank you to Oleg for making sure that at least now I know how to tie my shoelaces properly) Of course, that's far from everything he did for us, but the rest can stay in the mountains. Rava taught us the most important thing - to keep going slowly but surely. And I think that's the only reason I made it at all, because sometimes my pace was basically "the tortoise has started its shift"
But seriously, the Pamirs are something absolutely incredible... Every day you think that it can't possibly get any more beautiful, and then you step out of your tent and can't believe your eyes. The lakes, the glaciers, Lenin Peak, which you honestly just can't get enough of. Every time it appeared in front of us, I just wanted to stop and look at it. To realise that you're at an altitude you've never been to before, that sometimes it's hard to breathe, that at times you doubt yourself, and then you keep going anyway and discover that you can do so much more than you thought.
I also want to say something about the organization. Everything was as well thought-out and comfortable as it could possibly be in the mountains. Delicious food, warm tents, care for the group, help and support at every stage. At some point I even forgot that I was at an altitude of more than 4,000 metres and was actually supposed to be suffering a little ahhahaha. I didn't believe in myself, but they did. And now I have 5,000+ metres, a whole bunch of memories and this feeling that maybe I can do a little more than I thought. And yes. It seems that a little piece of my stone heart really did stay somewhere there, in those mountains))))
Our seventh journey with Strannik is now behind us. And once again, the trip completely lived up to our expectations. A new region, lots of new impressions and wonderful memories of meeting friendly people - our guide, drivers and fellow "Stranniks". As always, everything was perfectly organized by Strannik, something that would be impossible to achieve on an independent trip. Kyrgyzstan is unlike any other region. Truly a "land of contrasts": rocky gorges, a harsh, almost lifeless plateau with Song-Kul Lake, and the gentle yet majestic Issyk-Kul surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Today we were being buffeted by a chilly breeze at an altitude of 3,000 metres, and the next day we were splashing in the waters of Issyk-Kul, paddling SUP boards and kayaks.
A huge thank you to the team who accompanied us on this journey - Lyudmila and the two Alexanders. And also to the "invisible" managers, trip coordinators and even the weather - it treated us well. Everything was wonderful.
On the advice of friends, we decided to take a chance and go on this kind of trip with two small children, the younger of whom had not even been born when we submitted our application. We even invited friends with a small child to join us. And not a single one of us regretted the decision for a moment! We honestly tried to find something to complain about, but couldn't think of anything. From submitting the application to the farewell dinner, everything was thought through and executed at an 11/10 level.
And our biggest thanks go to our guide, Sergey Kuruza! The route was perfectly chosen. Rocky trails, narrow ledges, river crossings, caves and grottoes, waterfalls. Every day brought something new, both for the eyes and for the legs. Sometimes we deviated from the original plan, and every time Sergey managed to arrange the day so that it was interesting and manageable for everyone. The men got their share of adventure and hiking romance (even without tents). We got beautiful views. And our older child got everything at once: climbing over rocks, exploring caves, roasting marshmallows over a campfire and listening to local legends (a special thank you for that too, we still remember and play games about the giant Rufabgo). So our child is already looking forward to new hikes with Uncle Seryozha. And we hope to meet again too! :)
The trip to Kyrgyzstan was completely spontaneous - we booked the tour literally a month before it started, and all I knew about it were the photos on the Strannik page. And the trip really turned out to be 100 out of 10) The itinerary is amazing - you get to visit the mountains, see gorges and lakes, ride horses and kayaks, and travel all around northern Kyrgyzstan. And the best part is that you don't just not get tired, you actually come back from the holiday full of energy! Kyrgyzstan has the most beautiful mountains I have ever seen. They are all so different and every single one is beautiful! For those who love wildlife, there is also a chance to see huge herds of horses, cows and sheep, and, if you're lucky, yaks and camels)
I especially want to say something about our guide, Anatoly. He is truly a professional at what he does: he tells us so many interesting things, knows a huge number of facts, answers all our questions and adds a good dose of humour to everything) You can really feel how much he loves Kyrgyzstan, and that love is passed on to everyone in the group)
P.S. They feed you like there's no tomorrow, so it's better to arrive a little hungry for this trip)))
We went on the "Active Family Tour in Adygea" programme with Strannik. Our group consisted of four adults and three children (4 years old, 1.5 years old and 3 months old). We had an incredible time! Everything was top-notch.
1. Organization. Even before the tour started, the managers always answered all our questions promptly and in detail, took our wishes into account and helped us solve various issues. They also sent detailed instructions and useful information guides.
2. Transport to Kamennomostsky. Sergey Rubtsov met us at the train station - a wonderful person. He was polite and helpful with everyone, helped us get settled on the bus and made unscheduled stops along the way whenever needed.
3. Guesthouse. We stayed at the Panorama guesthouse. It deserves a review of its own. But briefly - definitely 5 stars. Comfortable, cosy and beautiful, with very tasty and filling food and wonderful, friendly hosts.
4. And most importantly - the routes! Our guide was Sergey Kuzura, a wonderful person who seems to be able to connect with absolutely anyone. Thanks to him, we managed to complete some challenging routes and visit incredibly beautiful places. Special thanks to Sergey for his ability to adapt the route to the abilities of the participants: in some places we shortened the route, in others we replaced an activity, and sometimes only part of the group went. We also made stops along the route whenever necessary. It turned out to be very interesting and full of activities, while still being comfortable.
A huge thank you to Sergey Kuzura and the whole Strannik team for such a wonderful experience of active travel with children!
