Kamchatka + Strannik = love!
Nature gives us incredible views, alien landscapes, the purest air, and unbelievably tasty seafood — and the Strannik club adds to all this with excellent organization, the highest possible comfort, and a great group of fellow travelers! You must go for the 12-day tour — the trip to Tolbachik will stay in your heart forever. The dead forest, vast lava flows, cooking on fumaroles, and volcanic slag fields — it's all completely mind-blowing! And being out of mobile coverage and far away from civilization really brings the group together. After Tolbachik, the group becomes a family! Climbing volcanoes (Gorely, Avachinsky) is a great way to test your endurance — and it’s accessible even to those who aren’t particularly fit.
The program is well-structured: the load is balanced, there are rest days, and acclimatization is smooth and easy. And thank you for the chance to swim in the ocean, relax in various hot springs, and visit the Mini Valley of Geysers — it’s pure magic! Special thanks to our guides — Alexey Gorn and Dima Mulyaev — you’re the best! Huge thanks! The tour was amazing!
The tour was absolutely wonderful. The itinerary was well thought out — we had time to hike, travel, get tired, relax, and we saw so much! We truly felt the spirit of the islands. Our guides — Andrey, Sergey, and Vyacheslav — are professionals and fascinating individuals. With them, everything felt calm, informative, and fun, and each of them revealed the islands in their own way.
It was amazing how we were welcomed on Shikotan, especially considering we were just passing through — and yet we saw so much!
The food was exceptional: from hotel breakfasts to hearty trail lunches with delicious fish soup, and of course, the hospitality of Alina Ivanovna and her team on Kunashir — you can feel their dedication. They put their hearts into making sure everyone is happy and well-fed.
It’s truly uplifting to meet people who work not just for the sake of a paycheck but because they genuinely love the place they live in, are sincerely interested in their surroundings, and put their mind and soul into their work. You can’t help but feel it — and be inspired by it.
Everything ran like clockwork: transfers, meals, greetings and farewells. Our group was also fantastic — such great people!
It was a pleasure getting to know everyone, and hiking together was surprisingly easy and fun. I hope to meet some of you again on other trips.
A big thank you to all the organizers and everyone involved in making this tour happen — heartfelt gratitude. I may not have mentioned everyone by name, but I’m grateful to all of you. There are many tours out there nowadays, but ones with this much soul — you could count them on one hand. Thank you!
