All our guides have undergone special professional training and certification in accordance with the latest requirements of state accreditation of the Russian Federation. We have a large well-coordinated team working in the region. While some of the guides reveal the secrets of Kamchatka to the tourists, others have time to rest before meeting a new group.
On the first day of the tour our tourists go on an easy trip around Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Khalaktyrsky beach. On one hand, this activity is not too exhausting, but on the other hand, it helps the body to gently adjust to the rhythm. In the evening, after a busy day, the tourists calmly fall asleep and adapt to the change in time zone much faster.
We spend most nights in the same guest house, with the exception of the trip to Tolbachik. This helps us to adapt to the weather and change the order of the excursion days if needed. Reservations in different hotels would not let us do that.
We will spend 3 nights away from civilization in the area of the Tolbachinsky volcano. There are two options of accommodation in this area: tents or glamping. All our tents are modern and reliable, they don't get wet in the rain and retain heat well. The price of the tour includes rental of high-quality professional personal equipment: a sleeping bag for up to -5 °C and a thick two-layer travel mat. Glampings are heated and also have panoramic views of the local beauty.
Our guides have satellite phones and walkie-talkies along the route, so even in the most remote places we will not lose contact with civilization. For a group of 8 or more people, we assign 2 guides, so no one will be left unattended.
We will meet at the airport (see the "Place & time of the group meeting" section) and start our journey with a tour around Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. We’ll see the historical sights of the Crimean War of 1853–1856, and then we’ll take a trip to the coast of the Pacific Ocean. On the famous Khalaktyrsky Beach, we’ll walk on black sand and admire an amazing panorama of the volcanoes. Those who wish can take a swim in the refreshing ocean waters.
In the evening we’ll arrive at the guest house, have dinner and get to know each other.
In the morning we’ll take a trip to the Vachkazhets volcano. Vachkazhets is an extinct volcano, whose ancient eruptions formed large cirques. At the foot of Vachkazhets, there is a beautiful glacial lake and a mountain river forming picturesque cascades of waterfalls. The vegetation in this place is amazing in its diversity: from a stone-birch forest to alpine meadows glowing with all colors of the rainbow. We’ll take a light walk around Vachkazhets to enjoy the beauty of nature.
We’ll wake up early, have breakfast and start off to the Gorely volcano on an all-terrain vehicle. We’ll climb to the top of the volcano, see the smoking crater, and also look into the caldera, at the bottom of which there is an acidic lake of amazing turquoise color. If the weather is nice, from the top of Gorely you can see the neighboring volcanoes — Mutnovsky and Vilyuchinsky.
We’ll have a picnic with a panoramic view, and then go down. In the evening we’ll return to the guest house and have dinner.
Elevation change: 750 m.
Today we are going on a boat trip along Avacha Bay, one of the largest bays in the world. A stunning panorama of the Vilyuchinsky, Koryaksky and Avachinsky volcanoes opens up from the water. Get your cameras ready!
At the exit from the bay into the ocean, there are three rocks called the Three Brothers. Once these stone giants served as a landmark for sea vessels, and now they are considered a symbol of Kamchatka. Then we’ll approach Starichkov Island, famous for its numerous bird colonies and sea lion rookeries. If we are lucky, we’ll also meet other local inhabitants — killer whales and dolphins.
Another exciting adventure today is sea fishing. More than three dozen species of fish are found in the waters of the Avacha Bay. We’ll have a royal lunch with freshly caught seafood and go back to the shore.
In the evening we’ll return to the guest house.
We’ll dedicate the day to a trip to the Mutnovsky-Gorely group of volcanoes. This is a must visit place if you come to Kamchatka. We’ll enjoy the mystical landscapes of the so-called Small Valley of Geysers — steaming streams and hissing fumaroles — and see the Mutnovskaya GeoPP, which converts the heat of the Earth into electricity.
In the evening we’ll return to the guest house and have dinner.
Note: Climbing to the crater of Mutnovsky volcano is currently forbidden due to the collapse of the glacier.
After breakfast we’ll have a long way to the Tolbachik volcanic massif on an off-road transport. The transfer will take all day, and along the way we’ll observe the change of vegetation as we cross several climatic zones. We’ll have lunch on the road.
For the night we’ll set up a camp under the Kleshnya hill or stay in a glamping (depending on the dates).
The Great Tolbachik Fissure Eruption in 1975–1976 turned the area at the foot of the volcano into a lifeless desert: all vegetation died under lava flows and a thick layer of ash. And nature has still not recovered. Instead of the dense forest that stood here a few decades ago, now you can only see bare tree trunks for many kilometers around. Though, in some places green grass and flowers make their way through the thickness of the gray ash. In the Soviet years, a secret base for testing lunar rovers was organized here. Later, the research was transferred to another place, and the remains of the buildings belonging to the base disappeared under the lava flows of a later eruption.
We’ll walk through alien landscapes and return to the camp in the evening.
Today we’ll visit the place where quite recently, in 2012–2013, there was the latest eruption of Tolbachik. We’ll see the flows of solidified lava and a layer of ash covering vast spaces. We’ll feel the breath of an active volcano releasing heated gas from cracks on the surface of the earth. We’ll look into lava caves with fabulous colorful stalactites and stalagmites.
After lunch we’ll return to the camp.
In the morning we’ll walk to the ancient Zvezda crater, where the eruptions created long underground tunnels and bizarre formations of solidified lava.
If we have enough time, we’ll visit interesting expositions in the Ethnographic Museum and the Bear Museum (for an additional fee). And then we’ll drive to Esso village, where we’ll check into a nice guest house with a thermal pool.
We will pack our things and go back to the guest house in Yelizovo. The road will take all day.
We’ll get up early and prepare for an exciting adventure. We are going to climb Avachinsky Volcano — one of the three so-called “home” volcanoes located near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. This is an active volcano, the last eruption of which occurred in 1991. We’ll climb to the crater filled with solidified lava, watch the smoking fumaroles and enjoy the impressive views from the top.
By the evening we’ll return to the camp site and have dinner.
Elevation change: 1,900 m.
Special prices are valid until 05.12.2024!

The meeting of the group will take place at the airport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (PKC) at 10:30 and 13:30, and at the Lenin monument on the central square (the exact time of the meeting will be announced later in the messenger).
The only way to get to Kamchatka is by plane, and there is only one airport, located in the city of Yelizovo near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
On the last day of the tour you’ll be transferred to the airport by 10:00–10:30 local time. Group transfer is included in the price of the tour. You can book return tickets for the flights departing after 12:30.
Note: We kindly ask you not to purchase the tickets until the manager sends you a confirmation and guarantees that the tour will take place.
Type of accommodation depends on the dates of the tour. Some dates include accommodation in tents, others — in glamping.
Comfort tours with glamping:
If you need a single room or you are traveling with your family and need a triple room, please ask the manager if this type of accommodation is available for your dates.
Standard tours with tents:
For the tours starting on 05.07 and 04.08: accommodation in Admiral Hotel (7 nights), Paramushir 3* guest house (1 night) and in tents for 2, 3 or 4 persons (3 nights).
If you are traveling alone, we will find a roommate for you among the tourists of our group.
In each house there are 2 single beds and 1 more single bed in the loft, heated floors, refrigerator, TV, chairs, bathroom with a shower.
The itinerary is suitable for anyone with average physical training. During the trip you won’t have to carry your personal belongings, except during short walks from the car to the places of accommodation.
Children are allowed to participate from the age of 7 and only if accompanied by their parents.
The checklist #15 will help you prepare for this trip.
As we travel by car and stay in guest houses, you don’t need a backpack on this trip. You can pack your things in a suitcase.
If you go on a tour where you have to constantly change accommodation, you risk missing out on some interesting places because of the bad weather. Hotel reservations will not allow you to change the sequence of days, so you will be taken for rafting or for a two-day overnight stay near Mutnovsky and Gorely volcanoes, even if it is raining or snowing outside.
For the comfort of our tourists we’ve eliminated the night in a tent at the foot of Mutnovsky and Gorely volcanoes.
Many companies offer to go to the north of Kamchatka the next day after a long flight, without considering acclimatization and jet lag. The road takes a whole day, and such a trip may be very exhausting. On the other hand, if the tourists have too much rest and free time on the first day, this also can have a bad effect on adaptation.
We’ve found a perfect balance. Our tourists have a light tour around Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and go to Khalaktyrsky Beach on the first day. This tight, but easy schedule helps them calmly fall asleep and adapt much faster to the time zone change.
On the active part of the route all the meals will be prepared by the instructor and his assistant on a gas burner.
The tour includes three meals a day — from dinner on the 1st day to breakfast on the 12th day, except lunches on the 6th and 10th days.
Note: Since this is a group tour, the food is the same for all participants. Unfortunately, we cannot prepare an individual meal for you. If you have an intolerance or allergy to any of the products, please notify the manager in advance. We will pass this information on to the guide or accommodations. However, we kindly ask you to follow up on this matter during the trip. If you have strict dietary restrictions, we recommend bringing suitable food with you or buy it on the spot.
Note: The program of the tour does not include free days for these excursions. In order to book them, you need to add more days to your trip.
All activities are at extra cost! Ask the manager for current prices.
Note: The program of the tour does not include free days for helicopter excursions. In order to book them, you need to add more days to your trip.
Probably the most popular helicopter excursions in Kamchatka are the ones to the Valley of Geysers and to the Kurile Lake.
Kurile Lake is a place where you can see brown bears in their natural habitat, watch them fishing, and take fantastic photos. The excursion includes: flight to the Kurile Lake; excursion on the lake by boat; watching bears (about 2.5 hours); flight to the caldera of the Ksudach Volcano, sightseeing tour (about 30 min); flight to Khodutka thermal springs, swimming (1 hour); dinner; return to the airport; permits for visiting specially protected areas; accident insurance throughout the entire route.
The name of the Valley of Geysers speaks for itself. This is a famous place, where you can also spot a bear :) The excursion includes: flight to the Valley, flying around the Karymsky and Maly Semyachik volcanoes; excursion in the Valley of Geysers (about 1.5 hours) and in the caldera of the Uzon volcano (about 1 hour); flight to the Nalychevskaya Valley; dinner; bathing in hot springs; return to the airport; permits for visiting specially protected areas; accident insurance throughout the entire route.
Usually these excursions are not included in the main program and are paid separately. Prices for helicopter tours are the same throughout Kamchatka, as they are organized by only two companies. Ask the manager for the current prices.
In the event of bad weather, a take-off ban due to military exercises or other factors, the flight may be rescheduled for another day or canceled. In this case the flight cost is fully refundable. If the flight took place, but the participant refused to attend the excursion, the payment is not refundable!
You can participate in a helicopter excursion only before the start of the tour or after the end of the tour. Ask the managers for the details.
We invite you to join us in a multifaceted journey to one of the most remote and mysterious corners of Russia. In 12 days on all-terrain vehicles, on foot and even by boat, we will overcome thousands of kilometers across the Kamchatka expanses. We’ll visit an active volcano, listen to the roar of smoking fumaroles, ride along Avacha Bay, see the fantastic lifeless landscapes of Tolbachik, and get acquainted with the wild nature and its inhabitants. Every day will be full of adventure!
We’ll stay in cozy hotels and guest houses, and spend 3 nights in tents under the starry sky in a remote area of the Tolbachik volcano, where there are almost no other tourists. If you are not ready to spend the night in a tent, there is an alternative of staying in a glamping. Choose the most suitable option!
In 12 days we will:
