f you have any doubts about any points, please contact our manager. The equipment lists are here . There you’ll also find many recommendations for buying equipment.
The participants carry personal equipment and part of group equipment (tent, food, etc.) in a backpack. In mountain and skiing hikings you will carry a backpack on your shoulder, in cycling - on a luggage carrier, in rafting - on a boat, etc.
The weight of the backpack includes the weight of your personal and the group equipment. The additional weight of food and group equipment can vary from 2 to 12 kg, depending on the distance from settlements, the complexity and duration of the hike. Personal equipment can weigh up to 9 kg. Group equipment - about 3 kg for women and 6 kg for men.
Every day tourists strike the camp, pack everything in backpacks and move along the route to the next camp site, where they set up camp again.
Daily route usually takes up from 3 to 7 hours depending on: the skills of the group, terrain, obstacles (passes, rapids), the ability to find a campsite. This time can increase due to the weather or the emotional, psychological and physical condition of the group.
Every tourist has his own goals, dreams and wishes. Someone wants sports titles and extreme climbing, someone wants to stay in a cozy hotel in the mountains and go for walks, and someone is happy to go backpacking and see the wild corners of the planet.
We offer you different types or trips. They can be conditionally divided into four groups:
Classic backpacking (hiking) with tents and backpacks has 1st difficulty grade or no grade at all. The main goal of such a trip is to feel close to nature and pull away from society. We usually do one or more days' rest to explore the surroundings, climb or just relax. The additional weight is up to 7 kg. The trip is suitable for anyone. However, if the route passes through the mountains, then the participants should be prepared for long ascents and descents and be in good physical condition.
Horse supported backpacking trips - in such trips you will not hike with a big, heavy pack: you'll just carry a backpack with the necessary things and food. The horses will do all the hard work. However, such a hike also requires good physical condition.
Combined trips are tours where we spend part of the days on a hike, and part of the days we live in campsites or in hotels. It can be as a sightseeing tour with a couple of hiking days, or a classic hike, where we stay at a hotel for one day to sleep and wash.
A weekend trip is a weekend or holiday trip. You can ride bikes or climb rocks, explore a cave or go rafting, take part in competitions or go to a city where you have never been. This is a chance to break everyday monotony, de-stress from work and meet new people.
We usually make the duty schedule before the start of the trip: for example, today is on duty the tent №1, tomorrow - the tent №2, etc. Each group cooks food 4 times a day. The amount of the food stuff in backpacks will decrease every day, so the backpack of each participant will become lighter.
Cooking is an important attribute of camp life, and the whole group participates in it. The participants who are on duty, should make a fire, cook and serve food and wash up. The rest of the group should stock up on firewood and set up camp. The group leader always helps to cook and stock up on firewood.
Such a menu is very nutritious. At the end of July and August, you can pick mushrooms and berries.
If you have special gastronomic preferences, please let us know in advance. We add powdered milk, raisins and seasonings in the porridge at the very end, when it’s ready-to-eat. So, if you don’t eat meat or milk, you can take your portion previously - don’t wait till we add these ingredients :)
Please note! Unfortunately, our menu does not replace animal protein.
We understand that everyone has their own eating habits. Nevertheless, the hike is a group activity. So you should be ready to make a compromise. The tour lasts only for a week. Just imagine how pleasant it will be to return to "civilization" later.
Don't take food with you in reserve - take care of your shoulders, back and legs. If you really want to take something, take dried fruits, nuts or chocolate - but not more than 500 grams (for the entire trip).
The mountains are not the place for drinking alcohol! Be syre, you will get drunk on the mountain air and everything around you. It will be difficult for you to endure physical activity after drinking alcohol.
This is easy to do! Here are some tips to help you dial in the ideal fit.
1. First, loosen all the straps and the hipbelt. Then, adjust the torso length. The length of the modern packs is adjustable and you can choose the right size (S, M, L, XL, XXL, etc.). You need to choose the most convenient for you.
2. Put the backpack on.
3. Lean forward. Fasten and tighten the hipbelt at hip level, just above your glutes. The backpack’s weight should be supported by your hips.
4. Tighten the shoulder straps. The shoulder straps should fit snugly around your shoulders. You need to tighten them so that they can carry about 50% of the weight.
5. Tighten the load lifters - two small straps located at the top of the shoulder straps. Tighten them to pull the top of your backpack closer to your body. The load straps should not be not too tight.
6. Tighten the compression straps. Be careful not to overtighten the straps.
7. If your backpack is equipped with a chest strap, don't overtighten it. It is used for retaining the backpack straps.
