The cruise takes place on the mega-yacht Le Boreal, specially designed for northern latitudes. This luxurious vessel accommodates up to 224 guests and combines comfort with advanced technology for exploring Arctic waters.
From the yacht, guests can admire spectacular views of majestic glaciers, fjords, and icebergs. For landings on remote islands, Zodiac boats are used. The yacht is equipped with satellite communication and elevators for your convenience.
Depending on the departure dates, the cruise may also take place on a similar yacht — Le Lyrial.
Early in the morning, we depart for Longyearbyen, the capital of the Svalbard archipelago. Upon arrival, we board the yacht in comfort — the crew will take care of our luggage and deliver it directly to the cabins. In the evening, we'll meet the crew and enjoy a celebratory cocktail with the captain, a traditional welcome before setting sail.
Our journey into the northern latitudes begins! We sail through the mesmerizing Isfjord, where shifting weather patterns bring the Arctic landscapes to life. In the evening, we can stroll on deck, breathe in the crisp Arctic air, and prepare for the adventures ahead.
We set course for Prince Charles Foreland, a small yet significant part of the archipelago discovered by Dutch explorer Willem Barents in the 16th century. This island is part of Forlandet National Park, home to picturesque cliffs, seabird colonies, and extensive seal haul-outs. With luck, we might even spot orcas or humpback whales passing by!
After an exciting day, unwind in the spa, enjoy live music, or simply relax on deck, watching the Arctic sunset.
Today, we sail past the uninhabited Danish Island, once a stop for whalers. In the 19th century, Swedish explorer Andrée prepared here for his ill-fated Arctic balloon expedition. We'll get close to towering glaciers, their icy walls rising majestically from the water.
In the evening, you can attend a lecture about legendary polar explorers or enjoy a workout in the fitness center.
We navigate through the breathtaking Liefdefjord, also known as the "Fjord of Love," where the grand Monaco Glacier awaits. Named after Prince Albert I, who devoted years to Arctic research, this colossal glacier is a sight to behold. We’ll stop to admire the ice formations, listen to the creaking of massive ice blocks, and, if we're fortunate, witness how ice crashes into the sea.
Keep your cameras ready — these waters are a favorite hunting ground for polar bears. Who knows, we might spot the Arctic’s majestic animal stepping onto the ice in search of prey.
In the evening, enjoy the warmth of the sauna, a relaxing massage, or a gourmet meal at the grill restaurant.
Today, we explore Raudfjord, or "Red Fjord," named for the reddish hues of the surrounding mountains. Our journey continues to Kongsfjord, home to the unique settlement of Ny-Ålesund. Once a mining town, it is now the world's northernmost research station and a historic launch point for polar explorers like Roald Amundsen and Umberto Nobile.
Afterward, unwind in the cozy onboard library or attend an insightful lecture.
We venture into the true kingdom of ice. Enormous icebergs, dazzling white and deep blue, drift majestically in the Arctic waters. Their reflections in the still sea create unforgettable vistas.
From the yacht's open decks and panoramic restaurant, we’ll observe rare Arctic birds — Arctic terns, eiders, and silver gulls.
Today, we visit Hornsund, the southernmost fjord of the archipelago. This stunning location is framed by eight glaciers descending into the water, with ever-changing landscapes. Polar bears and walruses are frequently spotted here, while drifting ice floes transform the bay into a natural Arctic gallery.
In the evening, relax in the onboard pool, browse a boutique with unique souvenirs, or sip hot tea while reflecting on your Arctic adventures.
