To visit the most remote and inaccessible continent on Earth and see the South Pole with your own eyes, you no longer need to endure discomfort or survive in spartan conditions. We have prepared a program for you with accommodation in a luxurious camp comparable in comfort to prestigious hotels elsewhere in the world. At your disposal are warm, spacious, wind-protected capsules with amenities and an elegant Victorian-style interior. Every day, top-class chefs will prepare meals for you, and you can relax in a cozy, heated lounge area and a sauna with views of the glaciers surrounding the camp. You will reach the continent quickly and comfortably — by private jet seating just 12 passengers.

During the excursion to the South Pole, you will spend one night in spacious 2-person tents at FD83 station. This is due to the crew strictly adhering to flight hour regulations. We will provide you with warm sleeping bags tested in extreme conditions and set up separate heated tents for dining and socializing.

But the main reason to embark on this journey is the unparalleled nature of Antarctica. You will encounter emperor penguins and Adélie penguins, endless panoramas of mountain peaks rising above the ice dome, impregnable cliffs, ice caves, and giant icebergs.

The program includes:

  • Flight excursion to an emperor penguin colony;
  • Journey to the South Pole;
  • Visit to the Amundsen-Scott scientific station;
  • Optional additional activities: mountaineering, climbing, visiting ice caves and tunnels, outdoor barbecue;
  • Lectures on Antarctica by scientific researchers.

Flight from Cape Town to Antarctica

The group meets in Cape Town (details in the «Meeting Point and Time» section) and departs for the harsh snowy deserts of Antarctica on a comfortable private Gulfstream G550 jet. In-flight, you will be offered hot meals and drinks. After about 5 hours, you will land at Wolf's Fang runway on Earth's most remote continent. From there, board a small Basler DC-3 for a 25-minute flight to the transfer point to the camp. The final leg — in high-mobility vehicles, you will reach the elite Whichaway Camp in just 15 minutes, located in the Schirmacher Oasis on the shore of a picturesque lake.

Attention! Depending on weather conditions and the aircraft's technical status, the departure may be rescheduled to a later or earlier time, including the evening of the previous day.

Flight excursion to emperor penguins

In the morning, a 2.5-hour flight to Atka Bay, home to a large colony of emperor penguins — several thousand of them. This is the largest penguin species in the world — up to 130 cm tall, easily recognizable by the yellow coloring on the neck and cheeks. Emperor penguins inhabit the entire perimeter of Antarctica: they usually live on coastal ice floes and move onto the continent itself during breeding.

You will be able to observe the life of these clumsy and charming creatures from close range and see predatory birds hunting penguin chicks. Remember that when interacting with wildlife, certain rules must be followed: do not approach penguins closer than 5 meters, do not feed them, or take anything as a souvenir. Also, to avoid disturbing the colony, the plane will land about a kilometer away, and the group will walk the distance. Hot drinks and snacks will be available during your time in the bay. Return to the camp by evening.

Important! In case of unfavorable weather conditions, the excursion to the colony may be rescheduled to another day.

Visit to the South Pole

Today awaits an incredible adventure — you will reach the southernmost point on Earth! The flight will take about 7 hours. You depart from Novo runway toward FD83 refueling station, where the plane makes a technical stop (about 1 hour), then head straight to the South Pole. You will spend a full 3 hours in the heart of Antarctica! You will see the American Amundsen-Scott scientific station, visit the souvenir shop, take plenty of photos, and admire the snow-ice kingdom landscapes.

Then return to FD83 station and set up a tent camp. Reaching the main camp today is not possible — the aircraft crew must strictly comply with flight hour limits. But don't worry — you will stay in spacious 2-person tents with warm sleeping bags suitable for harsh Antarctic conditions. Meals and relaxation will be in shared heated tents. This unusual experience will let you feel like a scientist, as they spend months in similar conditions.

Important! In case of unfavorable weather, the South Pole excursion may be rescheduled.
