The guide will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel in the center of Marrakech, near Jemaa el-Fna Square. Check-in, dinner and a short briefing. You'll be able to ask the guide any questions concerning the journey.
We start our great journey! After leaving Marrakech we’ll cross the Atlas Mountains from north to south and see the incredible landscapes. We’ll make stops at viewpoints and visit small villages where you can buy local souvenirs. We’ll drive through the highest mountain pass in North Africa — Tizi n'Tichka (2,260 m) and enjoy the views.
Then we’ll visit the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco that still retains its original appearance. It was built on the old caravan route and was a place to rest for caravanners. The ksar is a frequent filming location for historical movies like "Alexander", "The Mummy", "Gladiator".
Then we’ll visit the Atlas Film Studio and get to know the stories of movie-making. This is a real “Hollywood in the Desert” — films that have used the services of the studio include: “Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra”, “The Mummy”, “Kingdom of Heaven”, “Babel”, “Prince of Persia” and others.
In the evening we’ll arrive at Kasbah Amridil — it’s an old fortified house made from mudbrick and founded in the 17th century. Kasbah is the traditional house of the Berbers, indigenous ethnic population of North Africa who settled in Morocco long before the Arabs. We’ll spend the night in a small family hotel.
In the morning we’ll take a view of Kasbah Amridil and explore the daily routine of Berbers in the past.
Next, we’ll drive to the Dades Gorge and admire breathtaking rock formations in different colors! You’ll see a strong contrast between the green of the groves, the red earth of the mountains and the blue of the sky.
Let's go for a walk! We’ll go to the Todra Gorge and see the great stone walls that reach over 300 meters in height! Next, we’ll visit the oasis and explore the country life of the Moroccans. The local guide will tell us about the agriculture, cultivated crops and the way of irrigation. We’ll also see the ruins of the old kasbah.
After lunch we’ll dive to Merzouga village and go to the Sahara Desert on the camels. Our guides will be the Tuaregs — the nomadic inhabitants of north Africa. They are the one of the few nationalities on the planet that has retained their uniqueness. Tuaregs have been called the "blue people" because of their indigo dye clothes. Along the way, we’ll be able to watch an amazing sunset and feel like real nomads!
Tonight we’ll spend time in the desert. Just imagine: endless sands, lively dance, delicious dinner and sounds of drums… This will impress you for a long time. The berbers are friendly and hospitable and you’ll have enough time to talk to them.
We'll spend the night in the traditional Berber tents.
Let's start a new day with the first ray of sunrise! We’ll get up early, climb the dune and see the most beautiful sunrise that you will ever witness. This will be truly a magical moment: the deep silence, the sand slowly changing colors from golden to bright yellow… What a memorable experience!
Then we’ll return to Merzouga village on camels. We’ll arrive at the hotel to freshen up and have breakfast. After that we’ll drive to the Agdz village. We’ll make a stop near the small inn where you can taste the camel milk. We’ll also see the fossils in the mountains where the traces of ancient reptiles and the parts of meteorites were found. After visiting the local museum we’ll have lunch and arrive in Agdz where we’ll visit the ancient fortress.
Upon checking-in at the hotel, we'll enjoy the dinner.
We’ll devote this day to the traditional folk crafts: we’ll visit the co-operative women's carpet workshop in the berber village. All carpets are hand-woven from natural materials such as sheep and camel wool. If you want you can buy any carpet.
Next, we’ll visit the saffron cooperative. Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world. We’ll learn about the features of this plant and its health benefits.
Then we’ll drive to the argan oil cooperative. The argan oil is used in cooking, cosmetics and even in medicine. The argan tree grows only in the semi-desert regions of Morocco and it is also a symbol of the country. The tree is also attractive for the local goats who climb the argan's branches to eat its fruits :) You’ll take lots of amazing photos!
We’ll arrive in Taroudant in the evening. After checking in the hotel, we'll have dinner and walk through the old part of the city.
After breakfast we’ll drive to Tafraout, a city in Tiznit Province. The way will take several hours, but we’ll make stops at viewpoints to admire panoramas.
After arriving in Tafraout we’ll take a bike ride outside the city. We’ll see the picturesque rocks and visit Aguerd Oudad village. It is known for its “Napoleon Hat” rock formation and for its land-art painted stones, the work of Belgian artist Jean Veran.
The alternative is to stay in the city and have a walk along the green streets. You can also visit souvenir shops.
Today we are going to enjoy the Atlantic coast! The road will take 2 hours. We’ll make a stop in Tiznit — the Moroccan capital of silver jewelry. The jewelry is handmade by local artists and we’ll be able to become real treasure hunters! :) We’ll visit the shop and buy memorable silver gifts.
Then we’ll drive along a beautiful road along the coast. We'll check into a hotel and hurry to the ocean to walk along the cozy embankment, relax and enjoy the blue ocean.
We’ll spend this day on the beautiful beach. Legzira beach is one of the most unique places you’ve ever seen. It's famous for its huge rock arch and it’s the best place for panoramic photos. The charm of this beach is in its remote location — you will relax with no crowds of people! We’ll enjoy our rest the whole day and see the sunset on the coast.
Today we’ll drive to Agadir, the tourist capital of Morocco and the super modern coastal town. On the way, we will visit a ceramic shop, where you can buy souvenirs and gifts.
Agadir is similar to European beach resorts with luxury hotels, bars, restaurants and modern buildings everywhere. We'll spend the night in a comfortable hotel with swimming pools.
Let’s begin the last part of our journey! We are going to Marrakech, the ancient and truly magical city. We’ll see the Majorelle Garden founded over 100 years ago by a French artist, the Bahia Palace constructed at the end of the 19th century, and Menara Gardens with a fantastic view of the Atlas mountains.
We’ll visit the Marrakech Bazaar where you can buy everything: from leather shoes to teapots, from natural fabrics to sweets!
In the evening we’ll organize a dinner.
