We will meet in Marrakesh, one of the four ancient capitals of Morocco. It was this city that once gave its name to the whole country. After getting acquainted and checking into a hotel in the city center we will go for an evening walk around the city and see the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square and the Koutoubia Mosque built in the 12th century.
On this day we'll start our journey to the far shores of the Atlantic — we will see the mountain range of the High Atlas and cross its offsets heading south to the Sidi Ifni province. Here, the blue and white buildings, colonial-style waterfront, and an old theater have remained since the Spanish reign. We will stay in a traditional Moroccan house with a courtyard — a riad.
On the Legzira coast you won’t find regular beaches with white sand and smooth surf line. Here, orange-red rocks and unusual arches shaped over the years by ocean waves and winds rise above the water.
We will have lunch at a seaside restaurant where you can order fresh fish and seafood dishes. After that, we will explore another part of the coast with its high, powerful waves washing the terracotta shores.
In the evening, we will take a walk around Sidi Ifni, visit the main square, see the old theater, and admire the blue and white houses. Over dinner at the hotel, we will reminisce on the day's adventures.
The day will start with an exciting trip along a serpentine road among rocks and cliffs. We will enjoy the view of the ocean and the surrounded by lush greenery settlements on the sides of the road. The destination of this trip is Tafraout, a town in the picturesque Ameln Valley among pink granite rocks. It's known as the almond capital of Morocco.
Along the way, we will stop at Tiznit, a town where you can visit a shop selling silverware from local craftsmen and even buy a traditional Moroccan teapot.
On arrival we will check into a hotel and then go for a walk around the city and sightseeing.
We will spend the whole day in Tafraout and get acquainted with the magnificent landscapes of the High Atlas. There is snow at the tops of the mountains, so it can be pretty cold at night. However, during the day, the sun warms up the entire area.
We will have a day trip to the Aguerd Oudad village. On our way, we'll see the painted rocks, which are the artwork of the Belgian artist Jean Veram, as well as bizarre mountain structures. One of these structures is called Napoleon's hat due to its characteristic shape. Along the way we will enjoy magnificent views of the Ameln Valley. During the day we will walk about 12 km.
And in the evening we will change the mountain trails to city streets: visit local shops with carpets, oils, traditional clothes and babouches — light and comfy Moroccan leather slippers.
We will start the day with the trip to Agadir where we can swim in the ocean and sunbathe. During the trip, we will stop at the Souss-Massa National Park, where we will learn a lot of interesting things about Moroccan flora and fauna.
In the afternoon we will arrive in Agadir. Here we will stay at a comfortable hotel with swimming pools, spa areas, and bars, providing a perfect place to relax and take a break from our active walks. There are many tourists in the city, so you don’t need to worry about your safety if you want to walk along the waterfront at night or stay in restaurants and cafes with live music. And those who are full of energy can keep their evening going at a nightclub.
Before departing from Agadir, we will visit the old fortress of Ufella, also known as the Kasbah of Agadir. From its top we will enjoy the views of the snow-white city and golden beaches that stretch for 12 kilometers.
The coast between Agadir and Essaouira is famous among surfers from all over the world for its waves and natural wildness. We will visit the village of Sidi Kaouki, you've probably seen photos of it on the internet. It's difficult to say exactly what made this place so popular – whether it's the excellent surfing conditions, the rare argan tree oil, or the acrobatic tricks of goats climbing the argan trees.
After checking in at the hotel, we will embark on a 3-kilometer hike towards the sand dunes, resembling a real desert. The contrast between the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the yellow sand is a stunning sight.
In Sidi Kaouki, you can walk along the beach, ride horses and camels, and the most fearless can even swim in the ocean, if the water temperature of 18 °C does not scare them off.
We will have dinner at a hotel near the coastline, accompanied by the sound of the ocean.
Today promises to be cheerful and filled with activities. We will go for a walk along the ocean to feel real freedom, get lost in the sound of the waves and the gusts of wind. Here, we will be greeted by harsh cliffs and pirate bays, called for by the cries of seagulls, and warmed by the sun's rays. Be prepared for some challenging climbs, but do not worry – we will be safe and make short work of the climbing!
Today's adventure begins at the waterfall, which can be more or less full-flowing, depending on the weather conditions. Nevertheless, it is always a beautiful sight. After the intense exercise, you can refresh yourself at a beachside cafe. Then, we will head to Essaouira, where we will stop at a riad. A delicious dinner awaits at the end of a day filled with adventure.
Another eventful day in Essaouira, a city with rich history and a mix of different cultures. Here, Berber traditions and European heritage are intertwined with Arabic flavor. The city's exciting eclecticism attracts many tourists, and it will captivate us as well. We will visit the fishing port, the Spanish bastion and the medina (old town), a UNESCO architectural monument.
After the walk, we can enjoy lunch at a very atmospheric place — fish shops by the coast — where fresh seafood of our choice will be served.
And in the evening, you’ll have free time to walk around the city or by the ocean, bidding farewell to these beautiful lands.
The oceanic part of the journey comes to an end, but the adventure continues.
After breakfast, we will return to Marrakesh, where we can visit the Majorelle Garden. This is a botanical garden with a villa, created by the French artist Jacques Majorelle and later purchased by fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent. In the shaded garden we can admire plants from around the world. Inside the villa, we will see the works of Jacques Majorelle as well as the creations of Yves Saint Laurent.
After that, we will visit the Bahia Palace, translated from Arabic as "The Palace of Beauty". The Bahia Palace was built in the 19th century by the Vizier of Marrakech for his harem. A guide will share interesting details about the lives of the local inhabitants and the history of the place.
In the evening, you can stroll around the Medina and explore the market. Marrakesh's old city is full of surprising contrasts: among the endless labyrinthine streets, you will find a poor man's hut next to a luxurious hotel.
After leisurely walks along the ocean, Marrakesh may seem noisy and fussy. However, after stopping resisting its fast rhythm, you will become imbued with its charm and exotic flavor.

We’ll stay in hotels in double rooms in hotels (8 nights) and riads (4 nights).
A riad is a cozy hotel in a traditional Moroccan style, usually a 2-3-storey building with an outdoor terrace and a courtyard. It has modern conveniences and a dining area for breakfast and dinner. It is located inside the medina, so the windows of the rooms do not overlook the street but the courtyard, following a tradition in Eastern countries.
Note: Hotels can be changed based on room availability.
The price of the trip is based on double accommodation. If you are traveling alone, we will try to find a roommate for you from the tourists of our group, but we cannot guarantee this. Usually there is a roommate, but if there is not, you will need to pay extra for single accommodation.
If you need a single room and don't want to stay with anybody, specify this in the comments to your application.
In winter, the weather on the coast is usually dry and clear. Daytime temperatures range from +18...25 °C, while nighttime temperatures range from +5...+15 °C.
The increased air humidity reduces the perceived temperature, so warm clothes are necessary.
In the mountains, frosts are possible at night with temperatures ranging from +2...+8 °C and daytime temperatures from +10...+18 °C. Fog and rain are also possible.
We advise you to bring enough warm clothing for sleeping and resting in the evening. In Morocco there is no central heating, and hotel rooms are heated by air conditioning, electric heaters and additional blankets.
The checklist #7 will help you to prepare for this trip.
