Your guide will meet you at Kathmandu airport. You can fly on any convenient flight, but we recommend arriving before lunch to have enough time to walk around the city. Then you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Thamel area, the tourist center of Nepal. After a short rest, we offer you to walk around Kathmandu on your own and explore its historical part, visit the numerous shops, admire the temples and feel the local flavor. In the evening, we'll pack our things. Our trekking starts tomorrow!
Today we’ll spend the whole day on the road. Early in the morning we’ll drive to Besisahar village (travel time – about 7 hours). Here we’ll rest a little, have a snack, and then we’ll drive to Chamche village by jeep. The transfer will take 3 hours. On the way, we’ll admire kilometers of picturesque landscapes, green rice terraces and waterfalls.
Upon arrival, we’ll check into a lodge.
Today is a very important day — the beginning of our trekking! In the morning we’ll have a hearty breakfast with traditional flatbreads and spiced masala tea. Then we’ll start trekking: we'll pass along the suspension bridge and see the Marsyangdi River. We’ll go along the shore through gorges and canyons, reach the cozy village of Tal, have lunch and move on. Our goal for today is Dharapani village, where we'll spend the night and get to know the locals.
Ascent — 530 m, descent — 100 m.
We continue our journey: we’ll rise even higher, admire the snow mountains and the mighty eight-thousandth peak Manaslu (8,163 m)! We’ll also see more and more coniferous forests. Soon we’ll reach Chame village and check into a lodge. Those who wish will be able to walk around the neighborhood, taste local cuisine, learn more about the life and traditions of local residents and, perhaps, see traditional rituals.
Ascent — 900 m, descent — 400 m.
We’ll start early in the dawn: we’ll pass the gorge and the coniferous grove, and soon we’ll see a magnificent view of the Annapurna II mountain peak. We’ll get to Upper Pisang village, check into a lodge and take a short walk around the surroundings. Towards evening we will visit an ancient Buddhist monastery.

Ascent — 900 m, descent — 700 m.
We’ll make a short trek to village of Yak Kharki (altitude — 4,018 meters). We’ll move higher and higher, the landscapes around will change: green forests will give way to snow and rocks. We will spend about 5 hours on the way.

Ascent — 450 m, overnight stay at an altitude of 4,900 m.
Today is perhaps the most important day of our program: we will climb up 550 meters and cross the Thorong La Pass! Then we’ll descend to Muktinath village. In the evening you can go to the festival of national music or to a massage session. We will spend the night at the hotel.

Then we’ll go to Swayambhunath (or Monkey Temple) — the oldest center of Tibetan Buddhism.
