Tourists arrive at Fergana (FEG) or Namangan (NMA) airports and then take a transfer to Kokand.
Check-in at the hotel starts after 2:00 PM. In the afternoon, there's free time.
We will begin our Uzbekistan journey with a morning stroll through the town of Kokand. This ancient city was an important point on the Great Silk Road, the capital of the Kokand Khanate. There were about 40 madrasas and more than 300 mosques.
While walking around the city, we will see the majestic palace of Khudayar Khan and the mausoleum of Madari Khan, decorated with intricate mosaic patterns. We will also visit the Jami mosque with numerous carved columns made of “stone wood”, and the khan’s tomb – the Dakhma-i-Shahan necropolis.
In the afternoon, we will have a trip to Rishton, which is famous worldwide for its exquisite blue glazed ceramics. This original Rishton ceramics is truly beautiful. During the tour, we will have the opportunity to delve deeper into this ancient art and see the process of ceramics-making.
Afterward, we will return to Kokand and spend the night at the hotel.
Today, our journey will lead us to Tashkent. We'll travel along a picturesque mountain road, through the Kamchik Pass (2,285 meters). This pass not only looks beautiful, but is also significant for the entire country of Uzbekistan. It serves as a vital route connecting to the Fergana Valley, one of the most important regions in Asia.
Upon reaching Tashkent, we will check into the hotel and enjoy some free time.
Today, we will have the opportunity to explore the capital of Uzbekistan. The day will begin with a visit to Khast-Imam Square, the spiritual heart of Tashkent, keeping the original manuscript of the unique Uthman Quran and a relic, the hair of Prophet Muhammad. We'll also have the chance to admire some of the city's oldest architectural treasures, including the Barak Khan Madrasa, Qaffol Shoshi mausoleum, and Kukeldash Madrasa. The atmosphere of Tashkent can be felt in the narrow streets of the Old City, where traditional oriental architecture coexists with modern houses.
We will visit the ancient bazaar of Tashkent – Chorsu to buy local products, spices, handicrafts, and souvenirs. We will have lunch at the renowned Central Asian pilaf center “Besh Qozon”, where every day 10 tons of delicious pilaf are prepared.
In the evening we will transfer to Samarkand.
A day of exploring Samarkand, the ancient city and former capital of Tamerlane’s empire. Samarkand is often referred to as a museum city, as it has retained the unique ambiance of medieval Asia.
During the excursion we will visit the most famous square of Central Asia – Registan, which is surrounded by three monumental madrasas: Sher-Dor, Tilya-Kori, and Ulugh Beg. We will see the grandiose tomb of Tamerlane – the Guri-Emir mausoleum, the huge Bibi-Khanym mosque and Samarkand's largest market – the Siyob bazaar. The excursion will also take us through the Shah-i-Zinda complex, an impressive architectural ensemble of 11 medieval mausoleums, and to the medieval Ulugh Beg Observatory, where a giant protractor (sextant) is preserved underground.
We will spend the night at a hotel in Samarkand.
This morning, the road to Gijduvon awaits us. There, we will visit the house of the Narzullaev family, hereditary ceramic masters, and get acquainted with the Gijduvon pottery school. We'll witness the process of making, firing, and painting ceramics. We will have lunch also here, at the Narzullaevs’ house, where we'll have the opportunity to try the famous Gijduvon shish kebab.
After lunch, we’ll go to Bukhara, another ancient city of Uzbekistan. Here, more than 140 architectural monuments, including grand mosques and fortresses, have been preserved. And the historical center of Bukhara has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In Bukhara, we will definitely visit the Lyab-i Hauz ensemble. This is the most famous square in Bukhara, with a pond surrounded by the Kukeldash Madrasa, Nadir Devanbegi Madrasa, a khanqah, as well as a monument to Khoja Nasreddin and many cozy cafes.
Continuing our exploration of Bukhara, we have a busy schedule ahead of us. Today, we will visit the Samanid Mausoleum, a dynastic tomb built in the tradition of both Sogdian and Islamic architecture. This mausoleum is located very close to another remarkable site, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum, which has the shape of a long prism and is associated with biblical stories about the wanderer Job.
Additionally, today we will have the opportunity to see the main symbol of Bukhara: the Po-i-Kalyan Complex. Our excursion will lead us through the ancient Ark fortress. Another remarkable site on the itinerary is the Bolo Haouz Complex, which includes a reservoir, minaret, and mosque adorned with 20 intricately carved columns.
We will have the opportunity to see and compare two majestic madrasa decorated with complex ornaments: the Abdulaziz Khan Madrasa and the Ulugh Beg Madrasa.
The excursion also includes a visit to the countryside, where we will see the summer residence of the last Bukhara Emir. This remarkable building is known as Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, which translates to "Palace Like Stars and Moon". Another captivating destination outside Bukhara is the memorial complex dedicated to the renowned philosopher and Sufi mystic, Baha' al-Din Naqshband.
Today, we have a long journey to Khiva, which will take us through some stunning landscapes. We will travel through the famous Kyzylkum Desert, where the name “Kyzylkum” translates from Turkic as “red sands”, reflecting the reddish hue of the local sand. During the journey, we'll make several stops to stroll along picturesque dunes and admire the panoramic view of one of the largest rivers in the area, the Amu Darya, from an observation deck.
In the evening, we'll reach Khiva and check into the hotel.
Khiva, with its over 2,500 years of history, stands as a remarkable example of an ancient Asian city that has been almost untouched by time. Within the formidable fortress walls of the historic district of Itchan Kala lies a true oriental fairytale, where each building is a unique architectural masterpiece.
We will explore this open-air museum and discover one of Khiva's most revered attractions, the Pahlavon Mahmud Complex, a significant pilgrimage site. Within the grounds of Itchan Kala, lies another “city within a city” – the Konya Ark fortress. Our tour will take us through the tallest minaret in the city – Islam Khoja minaret, offering a breathtaking view of Khiva, and Muhammad Aminkhan Madrasa. Our excursion will also include the main residence of Khiva's rulers, the Tash-Khauli Palace. Additionally, you can visit the Allakuli Khan Madrasa, which houses the Avicenna History of Medicine Museum. Another noteworthy spot is the Juma Mosque, with 213 carved wooden pillars.
Today, we will visit the ruins of Ayaz-Kala, an ancient fortress dating back to the 4th century BC. The name “Fortress in the Wind” refers to the labyrinth that protected its entrance, allowing the south wind to blow debris and dust away from the fort.
From the Ayaz-Kala fortress, we will proceed to another outstanding architectural monument of Khwarazm – the Toprak-Kala fortress (1st-4th centuries AD), which name translates as “Earth Fortress”.
Here, we will have the opportunity to explore the streets of the ancient city, its square, the remains of the temple of fire worshippers, and the ruined palace. In the 1st century AD, Toprak-Kala was a big city with a population of approximately 3,000 people. Archaeologists have discovered unique artifacts here, including well-preserved examples of ancient Khwarazm writings.
We will have lunch at Lake Akchakol. In the evening, we will arrive in the city of Nukus.
A new day brings new cities. We will spend the first half of the day in Muynak, a former port city on the shores of the Aral Sea. We will have the opportunity to visit the infamous sea monument and, from the observation deck, witness a panoramic view of the city and the desolate bottom of the former sea. Here, we can truly comprehend the scale of the Aral tragedy, witnessing how a bustling sea harbor transformed into a desert over several decades.
You will then walk along the bottom of the former sea, now overgrown with saxaul. Then we will visit the “Ship Graveyard”, where we'll see the rusting skeletons of ships left in the port after the disappearance of the Aral Sea. Additionally, we'll explore the Muynak Museum, home to artworks dedicated to the Aral Sea and the Amu Darya River.
After lunch, we will move to the Mizdakhkan Necropolis. This cemetery city with many burial sites from different eras is a unique place where burial buildings of several religions peacefully coexist.
Among the remarkable features of the necropolis is the “grave of Adam” and the mausoleum referred to as the “World Clock”, believed to count down time on Earth. Our exploration will also include visits to the mausoleums of Khalifa-Erezhep, Shamun-Nabi, and Mazlumkhan-sulu, as well as the hillock of Jumart-kassab.
In the evening, we will return to the hotel in the city of Nukus.
Today we will get to know Nukus better. This city is a real green oasis in the middle of the desert. We will walk around the city, visit the I.V. Savitsky Museum, often referred to as the “Louvre in the desert”. Renowned for its exceptional collection of Russian avant-garde paintings from the first half of the 20th century, the museum boasts approximately 90,000 exhibits. Among these are objects representing the material and artistic culture of ancient Khwarazm, a diverse collection of Karakalpak applied art, and the world's second-largest collection of Russian and Turkestan avant-garde paintings.
For the night we will transfer to Khiva.

On the last day, tourists take any convenient flight from Urgench Airport (UGC). Transfer to the airport is included in the price. The distance to the airport is 40 km, travel time is about 1 hour.
You can purchase tickets for any convenient flights to the airports of Fergana (FEG) or Namangan (NMA). Transfer from the airports to the hotel in Kokand will be provided. On the first day, no group excursions are planned, tourists can check into the hotel (after 14:00) and spend their free time at their own discretion.
On the last day, tourists take any convenient flight from Urgench Airport (UGC). Transfer to the airport is included in the price. The distance to the airport is 40 km, travel time is about 1 hour.
During the trip we will travel mostly by rented vehicles. For big groups — buses “Eurise” and “Golden Dragon”. For groups less than 10 people – cars «Chevrolet Lacetti», «Hyundai Grand Starex», «Toyota Hiace».

The climate of Uzbekistan is sharply continental, characterized by very hot and dry summers (up to +45°C), velvety warm autumns (from +10°C to +25°C), mild winters (to -8°C), and warm springs (from +20°C to +25°C). Precipitation is infrequent, primarily occurring in late autumn, winter, and early spring.
Mountains and desert areas experience cooler temperatures compared to cities. Significant differences between day and night temperatures are also common in these regions.
The national urrency of Uzbekistan is soum. Dollars and euros are accepted for exchange.
This tour doesn’t require any special skills, but the participants should be in good physical condition.
Children are allowed to participate from the age of 10 and only if accompanied by their parents.

The price of the tour includes breakfasts in hotels (from the 2nd to the 13th days of the tour), and lunches on the 4th, 6th, 10th, and 11th day. Other meals are at extra cost.
