Embark on a journey that brings Japan’s versatile culture to life. Our itinerary will take us through the central and southern regions of the country, allowing us to see, experience, and taste the very best that Japan has to offer. We'll immerse ourselves in the diverse landscapes and traditions of the Land of the Rising Sun.

We will delve into the world of ancient traditions: stroll through medieval streets where the graceful silhouettes of geishas still appear, and see sacred temples and ancient castles. We will dive into the bustling life of modern Tokyo. Here, amidst the sparkling skyscrapers, we will discover the world of shocking youth fashion and visit an interactive visual art museum, where a dazzling display of digital illusions will unfold before us.

We will travel mostly by public transportation: high-speed trains, subways, and commuter trains, which are faster and more comfortable than buses, ensuring that we will have enough time to see everything. Accommodations will be in comfortable 3-star business hotels, with a highlight being a night in a traditional guesthouse, offering a unique and authentic experience.

Why should you travel to Japan?

  • To marvel at Tokyo, the metropolis of the future.
  • To compare it with the more measured and traditional Kyoto.
  • To walk through the narrow medieval streets in the geisha district of Gion.
  • To admire the grandeur of the Himeji Castle, preserving 400 years of history.
  • To bathe in the hot spring onsen.
  • To walk through the labyrinth of thousands of red torii gates at the Inari shrine, dedicated to the goddess of abundance.

We recommend visiting Japan in autumn or spring, when the country is at its most beautiful. In autumn, red maples festively frame the wooden temples of ancient capitals and lay a bright carpet all around. In spring, blooming cherry blossoms envelop all of Japan in a gentle pink cloud, creating an atmosphere of magic and romance.

Visa & currency:

Currency

In Japan, you can only pay with the traditional currency—yen. It is essential to always carry cash, as cards are not accepted everywhere.

Transport:

For transfers, we will use comfortable minibuses.

For traveling within the country, we will use high-speed Shinkansen trains and, if necessary, slower local trains. In cities, we will use the subway, monorail, and trams.

Japan has excellent paved roads, but we will encounter many winding roads along the way.

Lodging:
  • 7 nights in double rooms at 3-star business hotels
  • 1 night in a traditional house, where guests sleep on tatami mats. We’ll do our best to book such traditional rooms! However, we can’t guarantee it. We may stay in equally atmospheric rooms, but with beds instead.

Note: The price of the trip is based on double accommodation. If you are traveling alone, we will try to find a roommate for you from the tourists of our group, but we cannot guarantee this. Usually there is a roommate, but if there is not, you will need to pay extra for single accommodation.

If you need a single room and don't want to stay with anybody, specify this in the comments to your application.
