Arrival at the Buenos Aires airport, where a transfer will take us to the hotel for rest after a long flight. In the evening, we will get to know each other and receive a briefing.
Afterwards, those who wish can take a stroll around the city.
In the morning, we will take an internal flight to the small town of El Calafate. This town has become a popular tourist destination in Argentina due to its proximity to the Los Glaciares National Park, with its numerous glaciers.
After checking into the hotel, we will head to the country's largest lake, Lago Argentino. During a walk along the windy shore of Laguna Nimez, we will be able to observe many birds nesting on the coast, and finally see Patagonia.
Today, we will head to one of the most famous glaciers, the Perito Moreno Glacier, which is almost 30,000 years old. This unique natural wonder is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Scientists note that during the era of global warming, it is the only glacier that remains unaffected by climate change and does not reduce in size.
For tourists’ convenience, there are ecotrails organized around the glacier. Our guide will show us the best route so that we can enjoy the view of the ice giant from all sides. If we're lucky, we might witness the moment when a part of the ice mass falls into the water.
In the evening, we go to El Chaltén, where new adventures await us.
Today promises to be a day of active hiking. The route will take us along the picturesque trail of Laguna de los Tres, offering stunning views of valleys, cliffs, rivers, and lakes. We will stop at several observation points to admire the surrounding nature. During the hike, we will have the opportunity to swim in Lake Capri, known for its unique turquoise hue.
We will also see the most iconic landmark of the region – Mount Fitz Roy. Even though it’s not the highest mountain (3,405 meters), ascending it is considered one of the most dangerous on the planet. The reason for this is the unstable climate: strong winds and precipitation can make climbers wait for good weather for a long time.
The hiking routes cover approximately 22 kilometers with an elevation gain of 800 meters. However, for those who prefer a less intense journey, there is a lighter route with an elevation gain of 400 meters.
Today, we will get off on a relatively easy trek to the top of Cerro Torre. This peak remained unreachable to climbers for many years, and its formidable appearance earned it the nickname "needle". There is even a film called "Scream of Stone" about the difficulties of climbing this remarkable peak.
At the bottom of Cerro Torre, we will see a unique glacial lake adorned with ice formations of various shapes and sizes, creating a breathtaking landscape.
Today, we have a trip to the shores of the Pacific Ocean as our journey leads us to Chile! After morning preparations and breakfast, we will head towards the city of Puerto Natales, situated by the picturesque bay of Last Hope Sound. During the journey, we will witness the Argentine steppes gradually giving way to the emerald landscapes of Chile. These natural transformations will unfold right before our eyes.
Upon arrival, we will have free time for walks and relaxation, as well as dinner at a restaurant serving local cuisine.
Over the next two days, we will immerse ourselves in exploring Torres del Paine, one of the most breathtaking nature reserves on the planet. Today will be an easy day, with picturesque walks to the park's key attractions. We will enjoy mesmerizing views of mountain peaks, rivers, and lakes, heavenly shades of glaciers, and endless valleys with guanaco pastures.
Among the places we will visit are the Salto Grande waterfall, the volcanic Lake Amarga, and the glacial Lake Pehoe. Additionally, we will witness another amazing sight — a natural air tunnel created by air currents on the shores of Lake Grey. As a pleasant bonus, we'll explore a cave that around 10,000 years ago was home to giant ground sloths known as mylodons.
Today, we will go on a scenic trek covering approximately 20-23 kilometers with an elevation gain of about 750 meters. The route features unusual terrain, with most of the path consisting of large stone steps. The final destination of the route will be the Three Towers and the lake — the main attractions after which the park was named.
For travelers who prefer less challenging routes, there is an alternative option without the ascent to the towers. On this path, the elevation gain will be around 375 meters.
For the night, we will return to Puerto Natales.
In the morning, we will pack our belongings and set off, driving through Chilean landscapes to reach the city of Punta Arenas, the capital of Chilean Patagonia and Antarctica. Upon arrival, we will explore the city and have lunch at a restaurant serving ocean cuisine. During our stroll, we'll observe the city's life, see the monument to Ferdinand Magellan, and recall the history of these places. And, of course, we'll visit the beach of the Pacific Ocean, which is a perfect place to let go of all worries and simply enjoy the view of the waves and the sounds of nature.
In the morning, we will board a bus to the southernmost city on Earth — Ushuaia. To reach it, we will take a ferry across the Strait of Magellan. This will let us reflect on the history of this place. We can imagine the courage of the sailors who explored these waters in the 16th century.
Finally, we will arrive at the Land of Fire, also known as Tierra del Fuego. Driving across the largest island of the archipelago from north to south, we will see Ushuaia in the distance – the dream of many travelers around the world. And we will be among the lucky ones whose dream has come true.
Upon arrival, we will stay at a hotel with magnificent mountain views. We'll end the day with dinner and well-deserved rest.
We will begin the day with a sea excursion on catamarans through the Beagle Channel. Almost two centuries ago, this area was explored by Charles Darwin as a part of a British expedition. Our journey, however, will be more comfortable and enjoyable. We'll admire the views of the shores of Chile and Argentina, spot sea lions and cormorants, see the working Les Eclaireurs lighthouse, and pass by numerous uninhabited islands.
After lunch, we will have the opportunity to explore the streets of Ushuaia, buy souvenirs, or visit the local museum housed in a former prison building, which was the center of the city just a hundred years ago.
Tierra del Fuego National Park, located at the southernmost tip of the Earth, is the pride of this unique natural territory. About a century ago, prisoners worked here harvesting wood, but since the mid-twentieth century, these lands have been officially protected, attracting tourists with their unique subantarctic beauty.
During our journey, we will hike about eight kilometers through the reserve area and raft down the river. At the end of this eventful day, we will enjoy lunch surrounded by untouched nature.
We return to Buenos Aires, where the continuation of our exciting journey awaits us. In the afternoon, we will go on a city tour, immersing ourselves in its rich history, and getting acquainted with its culture and traditions.
We will traverse different epochs and events that have left their mark on the Argentine capital. We will see various architectural styles reflecting the history and development of the city. On the city's streets we will also meet street artists and dancers, adding color to our journey.
In the evening, we will have dinner in the cozy colonial-style district of San Telmo. Here, we can share our emotions and impressions from the journey. Those who wish to continue the evening can attend a tango show (for additional fee). This dance is the true art and soul of Argentina. Now we have the opportunity to experience it firsthand!
In the morning, we will gather our belongings and head to the airport for our flight home.

I enjoy traveling with Strannik. Patagonia also not only met my hopes for a great holiday, but exceeded them. Since we also managed to fly to Iguazu Falls. Andrey is an excellent, competent guide, it was very comfortable to travel with him.

We have organized a unique journey through Patagonia – a region that encompasses two countries, Argentina and Chile. During this trip, we will have the opportunity to visit the national parks, which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. We will be able to enjoy the view of the famous "towers", stunning nature, and, of course, the majestic glaciers.
Our journey is unique as it allows us to explore both the Argentine and Chilean sides of Patagonia. The main focus is on trekking: we don't just travel between national parks, but follow their best hiking trails. We stay only in cozy apartments. The program includes visits to the most authentic restaurants and cafes where we can try a variety of local dishes. Throughout the journey, the group will be accompanied by an experienced Russian-speaking guide from our Club.
