The group members will meet at the Antalya airport (see the details in the "Place and time of the meeting" section) and go to the hotel in Kaş, a small resort town. Depending on the time of arrival, we can stop at Ulupinar village and have lunch at a restaurant on the river, where they offer freshly caught fish. In Kaş we’ll check into a hotel and rest a little. In the evening we’ll gather for dinner in a cafe, where we’ll get acquainted and discuss the details of the upcoming trip.
In the morning we’ll enjoy coastal views and olive groves on the way to Limanagzi Beach. The walk will take about 2 hours. The beach is nice and quite isolated, because it is only accessible by foot or by water. Upon arrival we’ll have a picnic on the beach, and then take some time to relax, sunbathe and swim in the sea. On the way back to the hotel, we’ll visit the ancient Lycian tombs, which were carved into the rocks in the 2nd century BC. In the evening, if there is time, we’ll walk along the streets of Kaş.
Today our destination is the impressive Saklıkent Gorge — the longest canyon in Turkey! First, we’ll explore the gorge from the suspended platforms, and then go down to the bottom, where we can walk along the bed of a mountain river. The views are truly mesmerizing: sheer walls of the gorge that don’t let the sunshine in, a raging mountain river, multiple caves and waterfalls.
After lunch we’ll visit another national park — Patara. It is a unique combination of pristine nature and historical sights. First, we will visit the sand dunes of Patara beach. It is a long and wide preserved beach, where sea turtles come to lay their eggs.
We’ll walk through the ruins of the ancient capital of Lycia, see the building of parliament, theater, baths, necropolis, triumphal arch, all well preserved from the 8th century BC.
Today we will get acquainted with the underwater world of the Mediterranean Sea. The Kash resort has excellent conditions for diving with fins and a mask for beginners and for professionals. The instructors will pick up the equipment for you, give you an instruction and in the morning we will go to sea. Among the reefs we will be able to meet large turtles and schools of colorful fish, as well as old sunken ships and airplanes.
We'll be back in town by lunchtime.
In the afternoon, you can go to the beach or take a walk around the city.
Today you can spend time as you wish — walk along the cozy blooming streets of Kaş, buy souvenirs or relax on the beach. For the most active travelers, local agencies offer mountain bike rides and paragliding (for an additional fee).
You can also walk around the city in the company of a guide who will show you the best routes and lead you to the Lycian tombs and the ancient amphitheater, where there are almost no tourists.
In the morning we’ll drive to the ancient Lycian city of Phellos, where we’ll trek along the famous Lycian Way to Çukurbağ village. We’ll pass through the historical places of the Persian, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods, see the ancient city and sarcophagi. The scenery here is also very impressive: pine and cedar forests frame the Akdağ mountain range, which is covered with snow until July.
Upon our return to Kaş, we’ll visit the lively market that is held here every Friday and offers a variety of fruits and vegetables, as well as clothes and household products. It’s a great opportunity to buy memorable gifts for yourself and your loved ones.
On the Kekova Island near Kaş, there are the ruins of an ancient city, part of which was flooded after an earthquake about 2,000 years ago. We will go on a kayak trip right above the city! Clear and calm water will let us see the walls of the buildings perfectly preserved at depth.
We’ll move along the coastline between small islands, and for lunch we will moor at the Simena Castle, which can only be reached by sea. The castle is located on a hill and offers a magnificent panorama of the azure waters of the bay and nearby villages.
In the evening we’ll return to the hotel.
On the kayaks: 10 km.
